Solide Carbide Drills - technical features
The solide carbide drills from nenok tools are all with inner cooling hole and special Fire surface finish for an optimal wear resistance.
The solide carbide drills are especially suitable for longchipping and shortchipping work materials such as constructional steels of tensile strength level up to 1200N/mm². Also case-hardening steels, cast steel, tempered steels and alloyed steels of tensile strenght levels up to approx. 1200 N/mm² are suitable materials for the high-performance carbide drills.
High cutting performance, properly aligned drill-holes with good surfaces and small diameter tolerances are the reason for operating efficiency. The good centering behaviour and the production of short chips is ensured by the straight cutting geometry with special grinding and point thinning.
Cutting directions is right hand with 2 surface grinding and point angle of 140 °, diameter tolerance is m7, Norm DIN 6537K with HE shank.
Prerequisite for use of solide carbide drills with two coolant channels
Please note that the high-performance solide carbide drills are only suitable for the application on modern beam drill lines or plate processing machines. The new generation of beam drill lines with carbide drill option are available by manufacturers such as Danobat, Ficep, Kaltenbach, Peddinghaus and Voortman. Crucial is a high rotational speed with at least 2500 rpm and a high torque power in combination with an optimal workpiece clamping.
