Description of Ficep Excalibur

The Ficep Excalibur drilling machine is a CNC controlled single spindle drilling machine. This compact beam drilling machine is powerful, yet cost-effective and at the same time a space-saving entry-level drilling machine for steel construction, metal construction and plant engineering. The Ficep Excalibur travels along the longitudinal axis (X-axis) of the workpiece to be drilled on a support frame with rack. This support frame is usually 12 to 18 m long. Surprisingly fast, the machining of sectional beams, angle steel, square tubes and flat steel is possible. This very young used Excalibur beam drill line is designed for drilling, countersinking, tapping, marking and notching with a milling tool. An additional axis in connection with the high performance drill spindle allows the milling of long holes and notches. The drilling spindle, which operates at up to 5000 rpm, enables the economical use of the currently available solid carbide drills and milling tools. An automatic six-fold tool changer ensures a quick tool change. Contour marking with a high-frequency milling cutter is also possible with the appropriate, optionally available software.
